Now Nightdive Studios has given us another System Shock title to look forward to, this time the Enhanced Edition of System Shock 2. It seems like we're constantly waiting for some kind of System Shock to release, in particular the System Shock remake - which should be out May 30, just over a week away (though only on PC). No release date for the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One was provided, but Prime Matter does insist that it will release at some point.Nightdive Studios has offered us our first look at System Shock 2: Enhance Edition, a new version of the game being brought to "next-generation consoles for the first time." The team at Nightdive was hoping to launch the game in March, but admit that they need a couple more months to get the title ready for players.

Nightdive has more treats in store for players with improved gameplay, including a new dismemberment system, making for a more visceral experience. But fear not, I will return more formidable than ever.Ī full-blown remake of the 1994 fan favourite, System Shock brings the title into the modern generation thanks to HD visuals, updated controls, new music and a revamped interface. It is I, SHODAN, the all-knowing, all-powerful AI that you so foolishly attempted to destroy. Prime Matter has announced that the System Shock remake from Nightdive Studios will finally release on PC on May 31 (May 30 global launch).
